Out and About - 2018 LUX Light Festival

Last weekend hubby and I went to the LUX Light Festival in Wellington.

It's an annual outdoor festival celebrating light, art, technology, and design. It's a great festival to go to, especially on cool autumn nights where you can rug up in cozy, warm clothes and sip hot chocolate as you walk around the exhibits. Out and About: Star Wars - A New Hope, In Concert

On Saturday hubby and I went to Star Wars - A New Hope, in concert with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. The movie and concert was part of the New Zealand Festival, and we bought our tickets as soon as they came out over six months ago.

On Saturday hubby and I braved the elements once again (we’ve had rainy, windy weather all January, so much for summer), and went out to Symphony at the Lagoon, at Aotea Lagoon in Porirua.

Out and About - Summer Star Trek

Last weekend, hubby and I piled on our wet weather gear, and headed out to Aro Valley Park in Wellington to see the awesome annual event which is Summer Star Trek.

Every year these intrepid performers don their Starfleet uniforms and Vulcan ears, and perform full original Star Trek episodes in the middle of a suburban park.
